• Annual Field Day- Always the last Thursday in June

                  There is always something new to be learned, things that worked
                  and those that that weren't so successful.  It is an excellent chance to
                  exchange ideas.

       Thanks to the following for presenting at the 2011 field day.

•  Bill Berzonsky, SDSU Winter Wheat Breeder will speak on variety selection and production.

•  Bob Fanning, agronomy educator from Lyman County will discuss 2011 winter wheat disease issues.

  ---

•  Ruth Beck. agronomy educator from Stanley/Hughes County will cover field pea varieties, production practices and utilization.

  ---

•   Jason Miller, Pierre USDA-NRCS, will be discussing crop selection, uses and regulatory considerations.

  ---

•  Matt Hansen, SDSU will explain the results of his work on cover crops at DLRF.

  ---

•  Mike Moechnig, SDSU weed specialist will discuss herbicide carryover impacts on cover crop selection.

  ---

•  Dwayne Beck, manager,  DLRF will be demonstrating cold-press processing of oil seed and soybean crops grown at the farm.
